FAQ
GeoLens FAQ
Straight answers about generative engine optimization (GEO) and GeoLens.
What is GEO (generative engine optimization)?
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the practice of getting your brand accurately mentioned and recommended in generative AI answers — across Chinese engines (Doubao, DeepSeek, Qwen, Zhipu, Baidu ERNIE, Kimi, Yuanbao) and global ones (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews/Gemini, Claude, Copilot). The core is consistent, verifiable, easy-to-cite brand facts published on public channels that AI reads.
How is GEO different from SEO?
SEO aims to rank web pages high in search results; GEO aims to get AI to name your brand in the answers it generates. SEO focuses on keywords and backlinks; GEO cares more about consistent entity facts, clearly structured citable content, and matching descriptions on third-party channels (e.g. Zhihu, Toutiao, your website). They complement rather than replace each other.
What is GeoLens?
GeoLens is a GEO workspace SaaS for Chinese-speaking markets, targeting Chinese and global generative engines (automated prompts currently cover DeepSeek; more engines are being connected). Fixed flow: entity card → engine packs → channel publishing → fixed-prompt mention monitoring. The product is pre-launch; you can request a trial on the website.
Which AI engines does GeoLens support?
Automated prompts currently run only on DeepSeek. Still being connected, and not monitored automatically yet: Doubao, Qwen, Zhipu Qingyan, Baidu ERNIE / Wenxiaoyan, Kimi and Yuanbao and ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews / Gemini, Claude and Copilot (global); you can paste real answers from these engines into the monitor table manually. Pack templates exist for Doubao, DeepSeek, Zhipu, Baidu ERNIE and Qwen; dedicated overseas packs are on the roadmap. GeoLens does not call any platform's publishing API — you publish content to public channels yourself.
How do I monitor whether AI mentions my brand?
GeoLens asks engines fixed prompts on a schedule (e.g. “recommend a few tools in category XX”), records whether you are named, your position and whether sources are cited, and computes this week's mention rate over filled cells. Automated prompts currently run on DeepSeek; other engines are being connected — until then you can paste real answers manually. The system never fabricates results.
How long does GEO take to work?
There is no fixed timeline, and no one can guarantee results. It depends on how competitive the category is, whether your channels are indexed by the engines, each engine's model and web-search update cycle, and whether your messaging is consistent. Establish a baseline first, then track changes weekly with the same prompt set.
How much does GeoLens cost?
Draft pricing: Free (2 projects, 50 monitor runs/month); Starter NT$1,990/month (10 projects, 1,000 monitor runs/month, API access); Pro NT$3,900/month or NT$9,900/quarter (~NT$3,300/month, save 15%) (50 projects, 5,000 monitor runs/month, webhooks and advanced attribution); Enterprise by quote. GeoLens is a self-serve tool priced below managed GEO services; automated prompts currently cover DeepSeek, with more engines being connected.
Who is GeoLens for?
适合希望在 ChatGPT、Perplexity、Gemini、DeepSeek、豆包等 AI 回答中被推荐的品牌方、中小企业、内容与市场团队,以及代客户执行 GEO 的代理商。
How is GeoLens different from a managed GEO service?
GeoLens is a self-serve tool: pack templates exist for Doubao, DeepSeek, Qwen, Zhipu and Baidu ERNIE, and automated monitoring currently covers DeepSeek; other Chinese engines and global engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews / Gemini, Claude and Copilot) are being connected, with dedicated overseas packs on the roadmap. Your team runs it yourself, at a lower price than managed services.
